Tarja grew up on Gargon, no stranger to the gangs and illegal dealings that occurred there during much of her younger years. After a early childhood of mistakes and getting into trouble with the local law enforcement far too many times she found herself leaving at an early age to venture into the galaxy with a small ship that she managed to pay for doing various jobs around Gargon.
She ended up running into a bounty hunter who found Tarja to be interesting and possessing enough skill to be shown the tricks of the trade. Years later Tarja set out on her own with with her ship and began a various string of odd-ball jobs until she found herself working for Zev Khandrr as a mercenary in his little band.
Just how was she to know that the fool would end up Mand'alor and she coerced into service, continuing to do random jobs for the new Mandalorian government, though she supposed the pay was steady and she got to stick around home more now.
